My will is strong, My wallet is closed, I do not want to shop.-Confessions of a shopaholic (2009)
I have to modify the above quote to suit our main struggle.
My will is strong, My book* is closed, We want PPSMI BACK!!!
*The book here refers to 2012 Science and Mathematics Textbook.

Math and Science back to Bahasa, mother tongues (Update)
KUALA LUMPUR: The Cabinet has decided that the medium of instruction for Maths and Science will revert to Bahasa Malaysia in national schools and mother-tongue languages in national-type schools from 2012 onwards.
The reversal of the Teaching of Math and Science in English (PPSMI) policy will be done in stages, Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said on Wednesday.
He however added that there will be greater emphasis on learning the English language.
English literature will be re-introduced, as will subjects on grammar and composition.
Beginning 2012, students in Year One and Year Four in primary schools, and Form One and Form Four in secondary schools, will learn Math and Science in Bahasa Malaysia.
The change will not affect those in Form Six and Matriculation.

Most urban parents would be frustrated. Those students which affected (2012 Form 4 students) would be disappointed.
It had been 6 years. 6 years of PPSMI. And people who struggle to abolish PPSMI was furious.
We, as students, didn't even say a word. But, mutually, we agree in Tun Mahathir's policy.
And we have come along till today. 8 July 2009 was good news to people like Dong Zong and GAPENA, and bad news to parent's who really concerned about their children's future.
We have no intentions in challenging, or humiliating, or critisizing Bahasa Malaysia. The Malay language is still our national language and we will still uphold and respect it.
But, we strongly believe, that the medium to teach Science and Mathematics is still English. Why?
You may say that Germans learn Science in German, or Japanese learn Mathematics in Japanese.
But, what are we? Where is Malaysia, comparing with other countries? German is advance in Science, so as Japanese, before our country can achieve independence.
We need a jump start. The jump start to even compare these technology-advance countries. Therefore, we need knowledge. And the key to access these knowledge is language. And this language will definitely be English, for now.
Don't believe? Google 'oxide' and you will get 27,300,000 results. On the other hand, type 'oksida' and you will get 182,000 results only.
Since the access of knowledge is so limited in Malay, why choose Malay as the medium?
The abolishment of PPSMI gets quite a lot of negative response. For me, the part that I really can't accept is that Form 4 students in 2012 have to revert to Bahasa Malaysia after 9 years of English. And the worst part is, they have to revert back when they are in Form 6.
We are not radical-minded person. We are open to any alternatives, but our core struggle is: We Want PPSMI BACK!!!
Many are studying English in China, and something like 50 million are studying in India!!
